well basically how they have the feedback part of the user profile? is that possible?
it would be much better then the thread way we are doing now.
can we do what srtforums.com has with feedback?

The administration and moderators have talked about this before. Since they use different forum software, it'd be almost impossible to use the same type of feedback system.
Jason was also thinking about switching forum software, as well, to a more in depth forum software such as vBulletin (which I believe is what SRTforums uses), but that probably won't happen for a while... If it even does happen.
We'll get something better figured out before long, though.

I've found a system that is very very similar and was very very close to putting it into the forum but at the last minute I thought it wasn't best since it would be very hard for us to moderate.
The way it was going to be was each individual item for sale would need to be listed in a seperate thread. Most people were okay with this but from a moderation standpoint lets face it, there will be those people that join, don't read how to post their items and list everything in one thread. The problem on our end then is how to split their thread up without having to contact them to ask the user to do it themselves. At this time there isn't a real easy way to split an individual post into multiple posts without it being very sloppy. I can split posts out or threads but not individual posts.
Not to mention vendors, if they're selilng parts it's nearly impossible to leave feedback under the feedback system I found.
I tried playing with the code to see if I could get it to something a little more manageable without having each item listen in seperate threads and at one time I thought I had it but I was wrong and trashed it. The system was very nice but a little too complicated for the use on here. On SRTforums you can go to any user, leave feedback and thats it. The one for phpBB required the item to have it's own thread, the thread be finalized which would automatically lock the thread, send PMs to each user asking them to leave feedback for each other. There was no way to just leave feedback without the whole finalizing of the for sale thread if you're following me.
I'm still looking around to see if there is anything that would work well. I've even tried some of those Karma mods but nothing really works the way I'd like and I'd rather not do it if you will, half assed, since if something better were to come out then I wouldn't be able to transfer over the old feedbacks left in the ghettorigged system lol
But yes... it has come up, I've been looking into it but haven't found anything that would work very well on here
If someone does know of one for phpBB though shoot me a PM or post it up on here and I'll take a look at it and test it out if it looks like it might work.
