Good headlight bulbs replacements
Good headlight bulbs replacements
I need to buy bulb replacements for my headlights since one of them died this week. I was wondering what should I get. I had the 9007 PIAA Xtreme White and eventhough they were better than the stocks, they weren't that great.
stock replacement bulbs should do fine. unless u have the money for HID's or something similar, i doubt many aftermarket lights will be brighter. I just got some Nokya hyper yellow bulbs and i love em. still good visibility, and they look very slick.

Has anyone tried the new Silverstar Ultras? They're supposed to be brighter than the regular Silverstars.

ok this is ol dnews..but here we go...
what to buy:
- HID's
- GE NightHawks
what not to buy:
- Silver stars
- Any other crappy bulb with ANY COLORING on the bulb..
Reasons not to buy crappy bulbs:
- ANY coloring on the bulbs will filter out light. making it harder to see and the light out put less..
- Silverstars are expensive
- GE Nighthawks are cheaper and perform better
- Blue coated bulbs may look "whiter" but they DO NOT put out as much light

I put in Silverstars and will never buy them again. After a couple of months had one go bad and the used stock one off the shelf is just as bright as the other Silverstar. I have noticed that trend with all of the lights.
When you first put them in they are truly amazing. Then later they just roll back to absolutely no different then stock. So my new $7 and change bulb in the left headlight is no different than the Silverstar on the right.
Never again save your money.

HID's ? Where do you get a HID setup that's not just a HID bulb stuck in the Neon reflector? Sticking a HID bulb in a housing not designed for them is not legal, besides the output looks terrible.2003silverneonsxt wrote:ok this is ol dnews..but here we go...
