what should i do on my R/T
what should i do on my R/T
ok got my 2001 R/T comming and it has miles on it so i am gonig to buy new struts and springs so what ones are the best to do i want it low but i want nice handlin and somthing that is not going to blow out fast
Koni and find a lower spring rate drop spring. My Vogtland springs up front can be a bit stiff at times but it does help prevent bottoming out as it bottoms out less now then stock even over 1" lower. Something you will have to trade off some of. The only other way around that is to have drop spindles(Knuckles) made.

I have Koni inserts and the old 'Mopar Performance' springs, which are 1st gen R/T-ACR springs. Ride is nice and handling is nice. Though I would like some Ground Controls and some nice 500/450lbs springs. The Mopar 150/120s are nice for a daily driver, but are mushy on the track.

I had:
-22mm rear sway
-P-werks rear STB
-DCSports front STB
-Mopar Stage II CO's, 2 threads left in the rear, .5" in the front
For the winter I have:
-Same front/rear STB
-R/T front struts with stock springs
-SXT rear struts and no rear sway.
My opinions:
On stock struts, go with the big bar.
On CO's, the big rear bar sucks ass.
Either setup the STB's don't make much difference to me.
The problem I was encountering was wicked oversteer with the stiff rear CO's and big rear swaybar. It was like the limit of adhesion came SOONER than with stock stuff. More than once I have drifted the ass end in a corner, and once it cost me $1900 to fix the suspension after a boo-boo sent me over a curb.
Bigger is not always better.
I have the winter gear on and am enjoying the way it PROGRESSIVELY handles. The only thing is, it looks like ass cuz it's so fucking high
