Overpriced Suby parts
Overpriced Suby parts
JAPANESE parts are overpriced.
I've been looking and lurking over at NASIOC and several vendor sites. Parts for this friggin car are rediculous...$250 for a strut tower brace? WTF? $500 for an STS, $1000 for a turbo-back, $350 for a set of springs....I should have known better.
The NASIOC For Sale section is a friggin bargain though. YAY

^yeh, the NASIOC forum used stuff is usually a great bargain. I missed a set of COBB springs fro $150 shipped the other day...pissed me off. In that way its just like here.

seriously though.... it is a bit more expensive, but all ya gotta do is keep an eye on the vendor classifieds on nabisco, and actually PM the vendors to get a good deal. there are so many vendors on there that they can be VERY competitive when it comes to pricing and giving special deals.
a few examples of NEW stuff that i got....
+ set of KYB AGX's for $450 shipped from CVR Motorsports (cheapest i could find anywhere else was ~$550+ship)
+ set of espilir drop springs for $195 shipped also from CVR (great customer service from these guys too)
+ full 3" APS TBE for $900 shipped from South Coast Subaru (most places were ~$1200+ship, service was lacking though)
+ cobb AP tuner for under retail (can't say how much under, or where i got it from cause i promised not to
+ flex up-pipe from PDE for $180 (retails for $250, they also sent me a billet oil cap because of their flub-up)
the only snags i've run into with nabisco is finding the parts you want in stock with any vendor, and some vendors not willing to be helpful with special ordering parts.

Accessport from Cobb seems the best way to go for instant HP, mated to an exhaust system. Some subtle springs and possible rims and tires and I'm done. Yeah right...JDM hazard button, STI rad cap, uh oh...the list is growing.
