i heard they go $400+ a piece for the acr struts. better make a serious investment if you want them.

The acr struts are great, just very expensive. And they limit your options for firmer springs(firmer than stock acr/rt springs) and lowering. Considering the cost, you could probably find something better in the aftermarket.

okay thanks. i was thinking about this but wasn't sure if i wanted to do this or go with a straight coil-over. i think i might save up the money and just go with the coil-over option. on a side note...i know it would be a tight fit with the stock struts and mopar stage 1 springs...but how tight a fit would it be to fit a 205/50r/17 tire on a 2002 R/T. i understand there is an issue with the tire being very close to the spring perch but how close is it? sorry for going kinda off topic....

Below are the part numbers and the prices from a good dealer:
P5007389 2000-01 Front OEM ACR Strut $373.23
P5007442 2000-01 R. Rear OEM ACR Strut $373.23
P5007443 2000-01 L. Rear OEM ACR Strut $373.23

I look at it this way...
You get power interior options.
I got $1200 Struts LOL

You can buy them used every now and then. I sold mine for so cheap it made me sick, theres really no market for them. No one will spends over 400 for used struts when they can buy aftermarket or coilovers.

However they are really really good struts. To be honest you are not going to get better dampening unless you buy high end coilovers. Cant lower them to much though.
