Projects section?

I'm going to leave this up for two weeks to let people discuss and talk about it if they'd like as well as vote.

racer12306 has asked if there has ever been any thought of a projects section like some other forums have. The section would be for things like if you're working on an ongoing modification or installation such as CrucialNeon is doing with his body drop, it's somewhere that you can go to give step by step almost like a blog of sorts telling what you got done each day, pictures, ect...

How many would get a use out of it or would like to see it on here?

We've talked about it before just between the other mods and feel that it's a good idea but aren't very sure there would be enough people that would get enough use out of it to make it worth while. Instead of this we were thinking to just keep projects to the specific forums such as if you're turboing your car, you'd keep that to the Forced Induction section.

Voice your opinion... would you use it or do you think others would?

i think its a good idea, but i don't think people would use it very much. kinda like the garages.... how many people actually leave coments on the guestbooks? or how many rate cars?

I don't see to much of a point in it. I don't know of many people here on the board that have projects going that are worth documenting. I doubt anyone will use the section to often, if ever.

I think it would be useful. When I was thinking about it, I realized that even if there were only two or three people that had projects going that were worth reading about, it would at least keep those projects organized and easy to keep up with.

And my brother will definately use it to document his MS and turbo install. I just have to let him know it's here...cause he doesn't get on very much right now.

I think it might be a good idea, I might be doing MS myself and to see what other people are doing with there whole project would be nice. Like turbo installs and such.

Come to think of it Jason, I don't think of it as a project section, but rather just a log where we can keep all of the updates happening to our car in one place, kind of like a history.

Votes seem to show so far that people want it so if thats the way it is beginning of next week I'll add it in

why not Progress/Project Log

Heck yes! I think that if anyone of our fine Neon owning members wants to make a log for a different vehicle they also work on, they should be able to. Car guys are car guys....hopefully nobody would get pissy seeing something besides a Neon in the logs.

I wouldnt have a problem with a non neon in there. As long as the place doesnt start to get dominated by non neons.

In regards to Jons daytona it could be very useful since the engine in that car was the predecessor to the neons engine. there are probably quite a few similarities.

so it looks like Project Section FTMFW!!!

Just to be anal, the 2.0 came out one year before the 2.4.

The first year they sold Neons, they were still equipping Spirits and Caravans with the 8V.

Hopefully "Project Logs" is born tomorrow.
