srt rims on an sxt

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

srt rims on an sxt

Post by grindpunk16 » Mon Jan 17, 2005 3:58 pm

well i finally got to test fit my srt rims on my sxt. i have yet to install the srt struts on the car. i will say the front rims rub but then again i have 215/50/r17 fuzion zri rims on the front and they rub mad on the front. on the rear i have 205/50/zr17 michelin pilot sport 03 stock rims. i come to find out they dont rub or hit the purch of the strut. you have about an 1/8th of clearance between the purch in the rear where it bumps down to the top side of the tire and from there on you have lots of play.

looks purty good. maybe just some small tires on the front and it'll look better and won't rub.

if the tread is lower than abe lincoln's head then its time to invest in some new tires if its above his head then ur alright. take the penny and put lincoln's head downwards and do the test i i have about 8k more miles on the rears and about 5 on the front
