aem bypass valve removal - oops

Post by tamadrumr88 » Tue Jan 18, 2005 8:43 am

haha so yesterday i posted a q about installing the bypass valve on the oversized 60mm t/b... i got it, well, sort of. i showed it to my brother and he points out that i put it on the wrong end and im just like "oh.... shit" so yeah it took me about 30mins to squeeze it on and no it happens to be on the wrong end of the t/b (i put it on the back side when it should be on the front - dur!) so now its really stuck. the fit was so tight when i put it on yesterday and now i CANT get it back off because i let it sit overnight because i couldnt get it then either..... what can i do now???

The instructions that come with the bypass tell you to cut (using the provided template) a section (IIRC about 1.5" ) from the tube that goes between the TB and the top of the fender opening. Then install the bypass where you sectioned the tube.
