New Stereo?

Post by WykedHellFire » Mon Nov 20, 2006 5:52 am

this question has probably been asked before but Im just gonna throw it out there....I have a stock 2000 non CD stereo...I have an aftermarket radio but I don't know if it works...how do I test it out? somebody said to try a car battery but im still not sure how to hook it up to the battery...I don't even know if I have all the wires...I have the red and yellow wires that come out of it then an aux wire....also how do I remove my old radio without buying one of those "radio removel kits"? thanks in advance guys...also here's the stereo I have.

to hook it up to the battery to see if it works all you have to do is hook up one speaker and put the yellow and red wires on the postive terminal and the black to the body as a ground but make sure not to put it directly to the negative cuz if the headunit is bad you could have a problem on your hands if it starts shorting out
I HATE PEOPLE THAT STEAL!!!!

those are for fords... the 2nd gen neons are only held in w/ screws... you rotate the 2 center vents until they pop out, to expose 2 screws... then you pull the entire bezel off... the radio is held in w/ 4 screws... that's all it takes to take out your radio... and whatever you do, if you're having a hard time figuring out your wires, do not cut any plugs or factory wires... spend the $10-$15 on an adapter
