Procrastination is a bad thing

Post by Chibits12 » Mon Nov 20, 2006 10:25 pm

Let's see, I have a whole bunch of school papers /homework due next week and I haven't started a single one. I think I'm starting to get lazy again :(

Any of you guys have problems with procrastination? It is kind of a broad question and is a common problem, but I've never been so bummed out, especially with the Thanksgiving holiday coming. I can hardly wait to drive home tomorrow...

I'm crossing my fingers that after hanging out in this forum, I'd get started somehow.

I do, I always say okay I have X amount of time left, that's plently, let me do what I want for now, and find myself saying it over and over again.

That's very true :( . But once I get started on something, it becomes okay after that. Maybe I should grab more Redbulls or coffee to get going again. :P

All you need. Too much of one, just have more of the other.

Doesn't everyone have a problem with it? When I was in school I always waited until the last minute then when I went to college I'd start my homework the day it was due while I was on my lunch break  It sucks... I hate it... yet I don't solve the problem and learn from my mistakes lol.

I used to be...I just finally kicked the habit.

I started work on a few things about a week early. I took a lot of breaks in between and finished for the deadline...I was impressed at how much better it is to get it done in small dosages.

I used to wait till the last minute and force myself to work all night on something...it's easier to start early.

I tried to start on a paper last night and I guess I'm off to the right track.

I put myself into trouble when I study. I go and say, well, there's still a day to study and then end up studying like 6 hours before exam. It's a bad habit, definitely.

I guess just "GIT 'R DONE" and be over with it.

Dood... everyone in some way or another procrastinates - we do it whne we have to do something and do not want to.

I usually put off all school assignments until the day before  and then get pissed when I do not get a eprfect score, then I remember I did it to myself.

In college, I had no problems, straight A's, blah blah blah... now that I am in a University and working on my bachelor's, it is a whole new ballgame! I got one paper done befoer the due date, and that is one out of like 30 this semester.

Honestly, if you are procrastinating and end up failing, please only blame yourself - it is much healthier... and hey, you may learn from it! :D

I ALWAYS procrastinated at school....id study the night before, or not at all for tests and quizes. I wrote papers the night before they were due....I only went to college for 2 semesters, but I procrastinated then too.

I guess im not much of a school person either way. :?
