Yet another 2gn with a CF trunk.

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

Yet another 2gn with a CF trunk.

Post by JeremyJ » Mon Jan 24, 2005 1:29 am

I finally got the lid I wanted. It's a grade A trunk lid from Carbon by Design. It was a bit of a pain to install and it's still not absolutely perfect...but I love it. I got it brand new from their site for $250 shipped. They said there was a mistake with the 3rd brake light hole, but it was so tiny I didn't care. Plus, my brake light is tinted black, so you can't see it anyway. I would have paid a lot more than $250 for it.

See for yourself:

I updated my whole page. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Jeremy, looks bad ass man. Im glad to see you got it and the larger brake light hole wasnt even a big deal. did you contact Nathan like I was telling ya? I know he wants a holeless silver deck lid if you were looking to sell the stock one. My hood should be on tuesday hopefully ill be sure to pm you the pics, not sure im gonna post them as it will just be black for now until I go in to hav my rear done.

Thanks for the compliments, everybody.

He actually contacted me via the SRT Forums. I didn't even get a chance to tell him first. We are going to work something out. It's funny, because the SRT-4 spoiler is highly sought after in the Neon crowd. Yet a stock, wingless trunklid is like gold to the SRT-4 owners.

I have some close-up shots of the trunk and brake light hole before I installed it, but my connection sucks and it would take me forever to upload the pics. That's why all of the shots are cropped so small. If anyone is really interested, I might add another page for random close-up pics that I can post here.

im trying to get rid of my srt4 spoiler myself, dont know why I got it to begin with i think im gonna go wingless or w/ a 01 rt wing. I might just plug the holes that way when i go to shows I can put the spoiler back on

I think it looks good on your car, but with the hood and rear bumper it might be too much SRT for the Neon. I still think it will look fine.
