um, yea, those pics are of the magnum srt-8 concept that was released a couple years before the production version came out last year as an 05 model. like 04yellow said (kinda), the production version came out with a top of the line R/T model available with a 5.7L hemi V8 (same engine as the concept you put pictures of up, and same engine as the production 300C). at the 05 NAIAS, dodge displayed a new production verison magnum srt-8 w/the 6.1L hemi V8 (same engine as the 300C SRT-8, chrysler firepower concept, and maybe jeep grand cherokee SRT-8 ). pics courtesy http://www.allpar.com:

and what would be the purpose of an off roadable SRT? we all ready saw what it does.. and what Dodge does back... and besides its kinda like the Porsche Cyanne (SP?) ABSOLUTLY NO FUCKING POINT!! really if I want 400hp I think I'd buy an M5 or something like that.
Justin- I have nothing but smart ass remarks to add.

what's the point of the Ram SRT-10? same point as a grand cherokee SRT-8... just to say they did it. trust me, if they build it, there will be people who will buy it.

Hey Everyone
Light bars are coming.

Magnum police package (AHB body code) should be available at this time and the Charger will be available with police package too.

Magnum cruisers for city duty and Chargers for highway patrol duty.

Duck and cover, Ford!!!!!

you dont always have to use crazy power for speed...but why not make it capable of going offroad too? besides, at least dodge makes off road vehicles that can at least accelerate to highway speeds in a reasonable amount of time, not like the H2

Yep. I read about this, but don't remember where. Mechanically, they'll be RT spec (with Hemi and all), but they'll have SXT equipment.

Can't wait 'till they decommision some of those!

pretty much, it will be the magnum i want...no leather seats, none of that heavy crap they pack into the RT, besides the Hemi and the 5 speed auto. I just wish they had the Hemi as an option on every trim level so that you could get a stripped down, lighter Magnum SE with a Hemi

Yes, but DCX knows the car buying public could care less what engine is in it, and knows they won't buy a $25,000 wagon without alloy wheels, a CD Changer, or a trip computer.

I'd say 70% of the people I talk to don't even know what engine their car has, or what trim level it is. I hear "yeah, I have an Intrepid."
"With the 2.7 or the 3.5?"
"Hell if I know."
All they know is where the gas goes in, and that they can get to work and back in it.

Ain't it the truth, Stoney?!?!?!?!?!

If the Magnum with police package isn't available now, it should be by spring. The old body Durango was polige pckage-equipped in '04.

Hell, I even saw a Dakota quad-cab in full battle of one of the local departments dress at a stop light last week. Couldn't get close enuff to see which department it was. :!:

 H2...what a fucking joke. I'd like to see someone try to take that heavy-ass, slow, overly expesive, incapable box of a vehicle off road. I hate those ugly GM pieces of shit with a passion. Those and Escalades are completely useless in every way. Nothing more than status symbols and the only status that I view their drivers having...is a small dick.

It's funny you say that, because there's a guy down the street from me back home who's H2 is perpetually covered in mud. But yeah, I don't like them. All they are are overpriced, rebodied Suburbans.

people have tried to take their H2s off road, and they all come back with broken tie rods...the running joke is that Jeeps are the H2 Rescue Crew.

The "TRAIL RATED" emblems ya see on Jeeps stands for the Rubicon Trail out in California.

There's a DiamlerChrysler corporate mandate that NO Jeep makes production if it can't survive a trip across the Rubicon Trail intact.

Concept/Development vehicles had to be shipped to California to run the trail. If the vehicle didn't make it without breaking, it had to be winched out and shipped back to Detroit for needed changes. If the vehicle did make it, so much the better.

Any wonder Jeeps are the H2 Rescue Crews?!?!?!
