I havn't done an install ina long time but if I remember right there was something you had to wired up to the e-brake switch, I think if you don't hook it up it will work, I'm not sure, it may vary from different models. Someone else may be more help then I.

you ground the wire that goes to the e-brake... my recomendation is to wire it both w/ a switch and the e-brake... not in line with each other, but so that either one could turn it on... then you hide that switch really well... if you get stopped for it you flip your hidden switch and prove to the officer it works w/ the e-brake... chances are the officer will try out any visible switches... hope that helps and don't blame me if you run into somebody cuz you were watching porn instead of driving  seriously though, in the year that i've been a 911 dispatcher several of our deputies have rear-ended people because they were playing w/ their computer

seriously, from experience  hide the switch well... what i'd do is hide the switch in the arm rest, that tiny rectangular pocket near the front of it when you lift the arm rest up... down in there i'd drill it out and you wouldn't have to run the wire for it much farther if you're tapping into the ebrake near the actual handle

i'd check to make sure you didn't pull the wire out or blow a fuse

found out my prob! turns out 06 jensens have gotten smarter. you cant just ground the pink wire anymore. you gotta either put in the factory override code (which i luckily found on the net) or use the e-brake. thanx for the help guys. ima try the code out in the morn!

sh!t ill prolly get out in the cold and try it tonite

if you have a jensen go on to circuit citys web site. they have a code you enter to get it to play videos consistantly. its in customer reviews on one of the units.

Even the Euro models have that failsafe. Best way to hide a switch is not in the armrest since it's not to handy to get to in a hurry. You could try a push switch near the feet-area or hide one in between the seat and center console.
