PCM for trans swap

hey if any1 knows this please let me know this is almost a 911!! thing.
i need to know if a PCM from a 2k1 MTX neon will work in a 2k2 with no CEL code's
im thinking of the trans swap and this info is the only thing holding me back.
my plan is to use a 3.55 or 3.94 trans from a 1st gen with a cable clutch and put it in my 2K2.
so if you know that the PCM will work let me know PLEASE

If it does work I seriously doubt it won't throw a code, there is a difference in the PCMs for both cars and that is one reason why us 02ers throw a code on the UDP. (That and the sensor) I would like to know how it works too....anyone know for sure?

it may or may not work, but you can use the ATX ECU just fine, just gotta ground the center plug of the N. SAfety switch

why does it matter that much if it throws a code?

Because in some states if the CEL is on then it will fail inspection. Unless of course you know people. I don't know that this is his reason, but it is a possibility. :?
