well it's been awhile since ive been on here, car broke down took it o the dealer to find out the coil pack had a bad electrode causing the engine to miss fire and clogg the converter luckily it is still under warranty for another 900 miles, got a new converter and coil. runs good, exhaust is soooo much louder now, evn since we first put it on, prob been clogged since we got the car.

ahh that sucks...at least you got it covered under warenty though. coil pack seems to be a common thing to go on the neon. seems like everyones goes around 40-50,000 miles too. i think mine went at like 45,000 miles. crappy coil pack :x :(

on e of the terminals was correded real bad, the rest looked new

they kept it, or are you askin if i did something to it to cause it to corrode.

check your plug wires. One may be corroded and causing corrosion on the coil pack.

got msd wires on the way along with ngk iridiums, and a cia, i guess the homo who had the car before thought he was genious when i pulled the intake aprt to check things out i found a homade tornado thing, i was pissed. threw it away. i was told the msd coil pack isnt any better than the oem so i just saved mt cash plus they just eplaced it so its brand new
