How To: Wiring for foglights if your car didnt have em

Post by NiteHawk » Wed Nov 29, 2006 4:56 pm

first thing i did was take my relay socket, and remove the wires from it...

next, i removed the fuse panel, notice the 2 relay sockets at the bottom WITH NO WIRING?

Image

Now i take my wiring i pulled, and put it into the SPST socket on the fuse panel...

Image

now i pull power from the Red/White wire, which is a main constant 12V line, and put hte relay output to the stock 10A fuse for the fogs(Pink/Lt. Green)...

Image

Now i tape everything back up, and NO ONE is the wiser...

For signal input, i wired the red wire to the stock Black/Yellow wire at the MFS, since this is the output that goes to the parking lights. Black from teh relay then is grounded, thus completing the install.

Enjoy! :)

So... this will make the fogs come on when the park lights are on, and stay on even with lights/highs on? Awesome!! Great job! Now to get fog lights :D

its a standard Bosche relay. go to your local auto parts store or car audio store and ask them for a bosche relay. if they ask you what kind, tell them SPST. this means Single Pole Single Throw.
