JonnyMopar and Booger Bushings
In addition to installing an SRT shifter with my Pistol Grip, I installed a set of JonnyMopar Bushings and Booger Bushings. I can't say how one reacted without the other since they went in at the same time, but the combo is AMAZING. They have only been in for a day and I love them. I wish I had done this sooner.
I had read that people said the Boogers would be really stiff the first couple of days, but I did not notice that at all. The shifts feel so much more precise, like it wants to go into gear instead of me fighting it into gear. It might have something to do with the fact that I put a nice dab of grease on each one, nothing special just chassis grease. It would probably be stiffer if I had a short throw, but I'm really happy with the quality of the feel.
The only thing I didn't like was removing the battery tray since I had never done it before, and I didn't search for the booger How-To that said it would be easier to remove the air box completely. I thought about it, but didn't want to mess around with removing it completely. I just drilled a hole in the air box for one of the bolts (the front left bolt) and got the big bolt from the bottom.
The Boogers took some effort to get in place as did removing the stock bushings.
The JonnyMopar bushings were pretty easy to install. I don't see how you could do this without removing the shifter, but since I was putting in a new shifter I was able to pop out the stock bushings on the bench.
The Neon should have came this way.
A++ for JonnyMopar Bushings

A++++ for the JonnyMopar/Booger Combo.

Booger Bushings
Man, do they make a Difference. Took like and inch or so of play out of my shifter. The old bushings were so worn that it actually made my throw longer. Now the shifter feels almost new.

I absolutely agree. I'm running both bushings on my maddog 80-2. I was able to get the cradle bushings in a few day after the install by just undoing the nuts and lifting up on the shifter.
Overall I'd say the boogers added more notchyness to the shifts, and the johnnymopars created less "wiggle" room while in gear.

Yeah, props for the boogers, I really liked how much more solid the shifting felt afterwards, its not like stirring soup anymore. The install wasn't too bad, you have to develop a technique to get the bushings on and off, i got em off with needle nose pliers and a twist/pull and push from other side motion. Be carefull of those shift cables.

Have to agree... for the price, you can't beat JonnyMopar's bushings! If you get boogers I'd really consider his bushings as well!

Jonnymopar's Aluminum Shifter Bushings A+
My shifter is modified to be a short throw at the transmission. With booger bushings it was ok, until I installed jonnymopar’s bushings. WOW. It feels like there is a solid metal pushrod between the shifter and transmission. Absolutely no play.
My car is now way more fun to drive. There is no effort required to get the car into gear now. It just slips right into gear.
If you only have booger bushings you are about half way there. You need to get Jonnymopar's bushings.
