o2 Sensor/ Catalytic Converter

Post by sxt_003 » Tue Feb 01, 2005 9:13 pm

I have an 03 sxt with 27k miles on it and my cat and o2 sensor are both bad, though i'm not throwing a code for the cat. I've read on the .org there were a couple 03+ owners that had the cats go bad with no code and recently i figured it was my cat because of one post saying how the car let out a loud noise at wot around 5k which mine has been doing since it had about 4k on it. I brought it to the dealer 3 times and they said they had no idea what it was and since it didn't throw any codes it must just be a neon thing??!! well after i read the post about the other guy having the same problem and it more than likely being his cat i made an appointment with the dealer and the lady said it was weird for the cat and sensor to be bad this early. Has anyone else had these problems with there 03+?? The dealer i bought my car from are complete idiots and i will never do business with again cause they know less about their own cars than a two year old japanese baby who has never heard of a chrysler product. Anyone??

Try a different dealership. Your car is still under warranty, so if your cat/EGO sensor is bad, they should replace it at no charge.
