Jacked up SXT from Las Vegas, Reporting in!

Post by mdtanner » Mon Dec 11, 2006 7:19 pm

What's up guys! Just thought I'd say hello properly. I'm from NW Las Vegas, and I drive what used to be a Inferno Red Dodge Neon SXT 2005.

Now its Four colors and looks like a sack of crap. Long story short, I had a run in with a chain link fence and had to replace my front bumper, both fenders, hood, and driver side headlight. I also have a sizable crack in my windshield. So I thought to myself, "hmm, this is a perfect time for pimpification!" So I bought the cheapest R34 body kit I could find on eBay, an OEM carbon fiber hood, and a set of X-2 fenders. Nothing fits, except for the carbon fiber hood, which now has a huge chunk out of it due to a collision with my house on a windy day.

Yeah, life sucks. :?

I'm going to cut the gash out of the hood and bondo it so its at least usable. The gash really isn't too bad, its a real shame. I'll post pics sometime for opinions. I bought OEM fenders and I now just need to buy an SXT bumper (see my thread in the WTB section). So yeah, that's my story.

Umm...Last time I checked, my name was Matt. I sometimes go by my last name of Tanner. But Tyler? Come on man, that's not even close. ^^

Heh, I'll try to get some pics up, but first I need to find my digital camera or jack on of my friends. I think I'll do the ladder, as mine is only 2.0 Megapixels. :?

That sucks. May I ask what you were doing or looking at while the fence and house attacked your car?

Welcome new amigo. I have to ask though... how did you not notice the house cruising down the road???

I can understand the fence cruising and you not noticing if it was dark or something... but the house should be rather hard to not see if it's running down the road at you...

ROFLROFLROFL. No, I didn't run into a house, I'd have to be class A retarded to do that. I'm only class B. First off, the carbon fiber hood blew off the top of my car and hit my house, I didn't run my car into it. Thought that was obvious, but I guess its good to clarify. :P

Here's the story that I tell other people, regarding the chain link fence.

about a block from my house, there's a narrow two lane road with a brick wall + sidewalk on one side, and dirt and a vacant lot on the other side, surrouned by a chain link fence. While I was on my way home, I wasn't paying attention, and I veered off onto the dirt shoulder. The shoulder was a few inches lower that the asphalt, so I lost control and wound up halfway into (under, rather) the fence.

Here's the real story. I was playing with my handbrake and my thumb slipped off the release button. Woo, no control, hello fence.

You may now point and laugh at me. =D

OK, I don't know how to do the point and laugh thing... but that's freaking hilarious!

If it makes you feel any better, I've almost put my car in a ditch cuz of playing with the E Brake... but that's a funny story. Still sucks about your car though.

Hahaha!

At least you don't care to admit it. Most people would try covering it all up with a big lie. :)

 Reminds me of when i was trying to e brake into a street that was too narrow. After I got to sliding and was comming around and oversteered a bit and finally got control, i looked over at my friend in the passenger seat and the look was pure terror. There was also a guy driving the other way a block down and he was laughing as he drove by. Too close for comfort

Don't you just hate it when things like kids on bikes, other cars, and houses just jump right out in front of your car like that?
Welcome.
