Quick Response Please Help-12-Volt Source Connection
Well one of my X-mas Gifts was a pair of Speakers.
Dual IllumiNite TS Series Speakers LINK
I was wondering where is the best Place to tap into a 12V Source from the door panel?
I know there is the Cig lighter, but I really dont want to run wires all though the door and dash, thats too much work.
Any suggestions?

The only switched 12v source in th door I've found is in the drivers side, it provides power for the LED in the window switch. It has power whenever the car is on. Your best bet is to run a positive from the remote turn on on the back of the head unit if your running an aftermarket deck. If your running the stock deck I'd just tap off one of the interior lighting wires.

For one: LED's ran into speaker wire that's comming off of the head unit is bad... I'm honestly surprised you didn't blow them.
Two: That 12v sorce, you're gonna either run a swtich so you can turn off the lights when you please, or make sure that 12v sorce comes on and off with the car... that way you don't have them on all the time.
Personally, I'd just tap into the Cig lighter wire, and run a switch. It's really not THAT hard to do.
But, I have no idea where there is a 12v sorce in the doors. get a voltmeter and it'll tell you.

if im reading my chilton right, if you have power windows, on the driver side goin to the power window buttons is a tan wire, same on passenger. those should be 12volt source that only comes on when the car is on, test with a voltmeter to be sure, you can tap into that, then ground to metal, BUT i'd recommend doin it right using a switch off the cig, or even a dedicated inline fuse from the battery,,

Why don’t you recommend the power window wires?
That seems the easiest way to do it.
I was thinking of just cutting a snip of the power window wire insulator not through the wire just the insulation and solder a wire to the speakers, for power, would that work? Should I put an Inline Fuse for the speaker?
Is there anyway to make the Speaker lights come on with the Headlights?

You could make them come on with the headlights if you tap off the illumination lead at the back of the radio

probably not an illumination lead on the radio, but you can easily tap into the parking lights...
The parking light 12v+ wire is black/yellow, and is in the steering column. Its easy to get to. I found it not to long ago when i was installing an alarm on my neon
EDIT:
I dont know if you can see this site without registering, but here is the link... Let me know if it werks

yeha, it works.
now to decide Whether to make the lights come on with the headlights or when i turn the key.
Probably going to hook it up the so light comes on with the parking lights besides there is no point in having them on during the day.
So the parking light 12v+ wire is black/yellow, and is in the steering column, now how do you get to it?Thanks for the help

do I have to connect the wire from the steering column,
Or could I connect it from farther down under the dash cause I see the Black/yelllow wire right next to the drivers side door under the dash could I splice from there or Not?
Does it matter where in the Black/Yellow wire, Is that the same one?
