audio fun....

i bought a new box for my 12s. it's a Q Logic from circuit city, cost me 75 buxx. i'm very happy with it, sounds much better than the home built piece of shit i had. i rewired my amp, and put my old pioneer back in to power up the pioneer 4 way 6x9s... only problem now is that the front 4 ways are drowned out by the subs and the 6x9s. the amp poweringthe 2 infinity's is a kenwood (KAC 8401 i believe)

yeah, the wiring is kinda messy, i need to bunch it together a bit better.... oh well... it sounds nice.

they ain't too shabby. gotta figure out what to do though, cuz when i get past a certain point on teh deck, it gets pretty distorted, but up to that point, it sounds amazing, adn pounds pretty good. could it be in the deck, do i need a better one, or do i need soemthing else?

also, has anyone ever heard of Boss? a guy at work has a set of Boss tweets he wants to sell me for 30 buxx, brand new in box, good idea or no?

most of the time for nice tuned systems people wont even go above 50% of the maximum power...after that 50 it gets distorted.

If you want louder get speakers that are rated higher and amp them to kingdom come. pushing a clipped signal will kill them so as soon as you hear distortion back it down a tiny bit and thats your new 100% volume even if the HU says 45%...

Haha, I used 6 sheets of dynamat to shut my trunk up. Sounds prefect now. Here is my set up:

2 JL audio 12w3v2's with a 500/1 JL audio amp.

Boss is a pretty cheap company....I wouldn't buy them simply because you have the makings for a sweet system, Infinity makes awsome subs. Why get the good stuff on the subs then cheap out on the rest? Just my opinion though....otherwise clean them wires and good job.

that's why i was asking 2k2. i appreciate the input, i'll pass on his offer. i'm gonna go get soem black wire oloom and clean up the wires.. if i canspare the cash on thurs. ([payday) money's gettign tight as the wedding day is approaching adn we are just gettign into our apt. in a couple weeks. thansk for the compliments guys!

Anyone know anything on the Kenwood KAC-8401 amp? i have the exact 1 and cant find anything on it... maybe its a fake?
iv googled and can only find the 640watt 1...
and is this 1 any good?
