As of now: enough for me to survive, hopefully get started with an internship at an investment bank.

When I graduate this spring: I don't know either; I really hope I find a good job ::crosses fingers::

Either way, I'll still drive a Neon :D

At this point in time I would be at $0.00 / hour :(

Ugh... I swear, finding work here sucks, no one calls back and from people that I've talked to it's just not me, they had the same trouble.

should become a lineworker and hit up a vocational school> 6 months later your a 1st or 2nd year apprentice making $12-$14 and journeyman make $33.50 at the local utility company plus a ass load of benifits including retire option in 30 years and just so much more... honestly try to get with a large utility they pamper the shit out of thier journeyman's plus next time there is a large storm your looking at doubletime and all sorts of other extra pay. my buddy made 128k the year of katrina(whenever that was lol) including overtime and all other extra pay. he is 24 and might be getting into a supervisor position making approx. 85k/yr+OT and its for the most part a easy cushy job but he isnt too worried becuase his 1st year as a journeyman he pulled 92k. If i wasn't a convicted felon that would have been my career path. only thing is that it isnt for the weak of heart becuase when it gets rainy and windy you better get your gear an be ready to scale a tall pole in the middle of the storm to restore power..... sounds NARLY!! YEAH!!!

The whole school thing is why I earn what I do. I did a five year apprenticeship between my AS and going for my Bachelors now. You are right to a point dine, the vocational schooling (apprenticeship) got me the good money quick. The degree made me the boss. Thats the key. Remembre too that I had a baby at home during most of that 7 years who was born a preemy and spent two months in the NICU at Stanford. My wife was working in New York and in the Bay area at teh same time. I almost lost everything, including my son, a few times.

35,000 - 50,000 a year.

It really depends on how productive I am, stupid flatrate pay.

I am a Bicsi certified cabling technician. I mostly work with fiber and cat 3 (phone) cabling. I have worked in cabling since I was 16, my first job working at the Pentagon, almost a year after 9/11, installing cat5e and fiber jumper cables. I make $18 an hour with my current company which works out to $38,000 and some change a year. I usually try work atleast 50 hours a week, but soon, I"m gonna pwn weekend O/T.

All of my benefits are paid, I accure about 4 hours of time off a pay period, and I can hold up to 3 weeks a year. If I go over 3 weeks, at the end of the year it's cashed out to me :-D. There are nice quarterly bonus' (I haven't received mine yet, haven't been there long enough). They will pay your 401(k) %3 if you don't have anything going in at the moment.

Also, since its a gov't job, I get off all those stupid government holidays, along with regular holidays, PAID. Plus my boss who works for another company lets us take sweet lunch breaks n stuff.

However, I am having a background investigation done, and when that is all said and done, I get to do a polygraph for my "lifestyle" (drugs) and "counter intelligence" (selling american secrets) neither of which I do, so its all good.

[threadjack]
By the way, if I get someone hired, I get a $1,000 bonus. Anyone in the Ft. Meade/Laurel/Columbia/Glen Burnie MD area want a job? http://www.sycamore.us. Submit your resume and say that Jerry Johnson sent you. You get a job, I'll split the bonus after taxes!
[/threadjack]

Did I mention I own a house too? And that my fiance has 2 kids?

I work in MLB productions. In particular, MLB.tv. Since i'm still a full time college student, I only work part time there. I make between 17-20 dollars an hour.

After I graduate though, I should see a nice bump in base pay. Forget about this hourly pay stuff. I'm not a teenager .

I also put in for a transfer to work at the stadiums in person during live games. But that would only be part time. I'd do that on the weekends (only because I love the game).
