Note this car WAS in an accident. One of the local guys crashed it into a curb. This was the car. They bought it Jan 3rd and now have fixed it up. I was gonna buy it before hand but it was to much work for me.

Well they replaced the whole right suspension, added the AC back in. Fixed the missing radio and a few other things I can see. When it wasnt smashed my brother was gonna buy it. It ran like crap. The guy that owned it first took go care of it but the 2nd owner beat it up. I actually drove the car weeks before it was smashed and the motor sounded shitty to me.

For parts or a restoration project? Just curious as to what you would have done with it.FTWNeon wrote:Man, i would have like to buy that when it was wrecked. I wold have gone up with a trailer and gotten that. I think it looks alot worse then what it might have actually been.

I wouldn't have been too worried about the suspension as I've already replaced the entire suspension on my current ACR so i already have a good idea whts going on there. But as for the motor, that would either deter me or make me pull it, rebuild, and boost it. Or mabye boost it, swap motors with my current ACR and making a daily driver. The possiblities are endless
The car ran great before it was smashed, the 2nd owner was a good friend of mine. He had the motor rebuilt with the comp 400 due to the timing belt breaking and had the head rebuilt along with replacement of 1 piston and all rings. Slvracr is correct, when he drove it, it was running like shit because it had a bent rod from the owner running into a puddle. Not sure how it runs now, the motor was tweaked in the accident and was never started back up. BTW, he didnt beat the shit out of it but he did drive spirited occasionally. I still wouldnt buy it though.
BTW slvracr, dave didnt take too good care of it alteast in the end because when my buddy bought the car, within the first week it was at the dealer to have the map sensor wiring and the ac wiring replaced along with the accessories tensioner replaced.

You test drove it before the engine was rebuilt. I'm not quite sure why the exhaust sounded like that, there wasnt any holes or leaks in it, unless it was starting to leak where dave put a straight pipe in place of the stock resonator.
He wasnt my brother just a friend since grade school.

damn, 7k for a rebuilt, wrecked ACR with 77kmiles? Sorry, dont think it is worth that much, ACR or not. Mine is worth only $5995 and that is in pristine condition (which I think it is
).

have they become his trophies for a job well done beating on a car to the point where it trashed both front and rear suspension?SlvrACR wrote: he has the old broken parts to show for it.

He didnt do that. He bought that from an auction. The guy that use to own it was selling it but he crashed into a curb becasue of bad weather. There has been 3 owners. The 1st guy took very good care of it and knew alot about Neons, the 2nd owner beat on it alittle but crashed it. That guy just bought it crashed and fixed it up.
