suggestion

I've been thinking lately that there should be some place where people can post deals.

Like if someone finds out that Pep Boy's is having a huge sale on oil filters, or there is just a deal too good to pass up on ebay. Or even some place that many people may not know about, but they have killer prices on items that people here buy.

Thoughts??

Now if there already is a place for that and I just don't see it, boy will I feel like a newb.

some people do, do that in the for sale section....but yea i kinda actually like the idea for a forum specifically for "killer deals" you find and share them....

once especially that dawm found was the vc's and everyone on this site snatched up.....

I like the idea a lot but my question is will it be used enough or are there enough deals to be posted in there to make it worth while? I'm not saying it's a bad idea or anything b/c I do like it but I'm not quite sure if it would enough

I understand. No point in adding something if it won't be used.

I honestly don't know how much something like this would be used. It certainly wouldn't be the popular section of the board because normal things come up more often than deals.

Bob Is The Oil Guy has a section of their forum for deals. It seems to work out pretty well, but then their population is much larger than ours. I could see many "neonites" liking it because of our tendancy to spend less on items instead of just buying the first one we see.

I'm not being lazy, just trying to keep the forum trimmed as much as I can where the amount of forums on the index page isn't so great that it's overwhelming or just one huge list. Thats mainly the reason why I waited so long to add in regional boards b/c that would have made the index page incredibly long.

I'd much rather see a Stickied thread in the For-Sale section that could be used and then if that showed some good interest where enough things were posted in it, then I'd consider making a separate area dedicated for that.

Not a bad idea. Won't add much space if it isn't used.

Would each for sale forum, other, parts and cars, have its own sticky?
