Highway 101

This past weekend I went up to visit friends in SLO (San Luis Obispo)... I took my time returning back to the hustle and bustle of my home (in Orange County), and stopped in Pismo Beach and Santa Barbara. I also stopped a little ways North of Santa Barbara at a rest stop called "Vista Point" and while there I snapped a few pictures of the Neon on this clear, sunny, wonderful California winter day...

btw, for any of you who have not taken the pleasure of driving on the 101, its a treat. Once you get past LA and start heading north, its very open. I averaged about 85 mph on the entire journey (hit 105 at one point), yet thanks to the mtx the neon pulled nearly 35 mpg on the trip!

nice, sounds like fun. id love to hit up the coastal highways, but im pretty far inland now and dont have time! lucky! check out the new Cali meet post, youre closeby. maybe u can attend.

Hwy 1 is better. But 101 is pretty badass south of Morro Bay. Good times..

Mmmmmm... one of the main reason why I want to go to Cali, just to drive on that road b/c it's just so damn beautiful!

^^I averaged high 30's in both of my SXTs. Of course, that didn't come near to the low-40's I got in my 1GN. And we won't mention the mid-20's in the SRT...

hwy 101 in oregon is super fun, i wanna take the neon through there someday. I stopped caring about gas milage, as long as it lasts a week i'm fine.

theres a bad ass road that goes from teh top of horse heaven, by paterson, down to betnon city... it's in a canyon, and good LORD is it fun

you'd recognize the road if it was this one. This road is fun too, its up behind kiona. oh and btw...this car is BADASS, you might have seen it before tnk, its built here in the tri-cities, aiming for the topspeed record....

i dunno if the road i was talkign about goes to the baby graves or not, it was dark when i drove it, but DAMN it was a fun road.
