you could probably go get your "umadbro" polished up to make it look like a new comeback again

ummm....why would you define "rear" tail light......aren't all tail lights in the rear?

Anyway, the carpet wet only on 1 side? or is both sides, front and back? If it's only the drivers front carpet, check the holes in the fire wall, and make sure there are rubber grommets/plugs in all of them.....

If it's other than just the dr. front, I'm not really sure what to tell ya. the windshield seal would probably be a good place to start looking though.....

Maybe it is bad weather stripping along the door.

Could be several things. I had the same problem with a Celica. It ended up being the heater core. I hope it's not the same for you. $$$. Good Luck.

I got sort of the same thing, but in the rear driver's side carpet. I think it's leaking from the trunk down under the seat onto the carpet, anyone else have this problem?

Do you have a sunroof?
I know my sunroof is notorious for having clogged drains.

those vents as you look on the side of the trunk. those black vents let water in as i expericed some water getting in the trunk when it rained. didnt come from the tail lights. but i found the vent filter wet.

the most common place for a neon to leak (all of them) is the rear tail lights ... fixed by putting silicon on the gasket while taillight is out and reinstalling them ...

other then that ... just check everywhere ..

and yes it is possible for the tail light to leak and just the front appear wet ... could have been sitting in the tire well for a little bit .. till one day when you cornered hard enough to make it splash out .. and it ran up into the front area from when you hit the brakes afterwards ... or you park on a downward hill.
