SI lip finally installed :twisted:

well i finally installed the lip, not likin it 100% but what can u do, theres a few shots that it looks like its not made to fit a neon, mostly sides. I always wanted the look of the white neon and dark blue neon with the lip, in their cars it looks like it came with the car, not sure if i got the wrong lip but check it out ill post pics tomorrow in the day

did you jsut install it? i think they used a heat gun or something to heat up the material, then they might have bent it and stuff to make it fit the bumpers shape.

Seems to not be wide enough, is that the case? Looks pretty good but yeah, no where near as nice as the blue or the white neons that had it. Hopefully someone can chime in as I want a sI lip as well. Get some daylight shots tommorow.

Wow, that sucks, you did your sideskirts yourself, why not the lip? And i think the blue and white neon owners have been off this board for some time..

i found out what i messed up on

i got the wrong lip in the first place. this is the one i got.

As you see, the lip has fold-out on both top, bottom and each sides. thats why it was impossible to bend cuz the 90% angle flappy things would crack and bend upwards, not sure if you guys get me.

this is the lip i needed. Total flat only fold-outs at the corners, that way u slap it on, heat gun it and dats it, it would work like tape. Flat against the bumper instead of under because of the flappy fold-out parts

99-00? I don't believe that was the one. I was pretty sure everyone said it was the 92-95 siR front lip. Somebody chime in!!

i thought of it but the guy already shorten it to fit that way, i know for sure if i try it the right way it will be to short

i'm just talking about cutting out the cupped parts that aren't letting it sit right against the bottom of the bumper

TiOL and Myztkal are the two with the SI lips. I don't believe Myztkal has his anymore but TiOL does. I'm sure either of them could help you before you go ahead and spend more money. If nothing else they could atleast tell you which one they have.

Yea... i'll help out too since I did have that lip as well...

What I did was covered the bottom lip of the front bumper with it... Look at pics...

Hope that helps out a bit... But anyways it goes there's alot of work that will be required for it to be like Tiol's...

But the 99-00 lip looks a bit easier...

No one listens. I DIDN'T have a 92-95 nor a 99-00 Civic lip.

I had a real deal INTEGRA type-r lip from Japan. I've posted links and sent PM replies to people who've asked where to get them and what to get, but no one listens. *sigh*

I'm making a lip for a 01-02 R/T front bumper out of something.

Should be tight.

How??... I know what lip mztykal used cuz I actually read his post here and on neons.org... We are talking bout the lip that Tiol used on his neon.... Guess I have to show pics to make some peeps understand...

Notice the differences between the lips...

This is Tiol's neon with the 99-00 civic type r lip like the person that started this thread has and trying to do as (and what I was tyring to do as well)...

And this is mztykal's neon with the imported Integra lip...

Now can you see the difference...

hey mine is a 99-00 civic type r lip. I've cutted it in half in the middle and shorten it to fit the side. The lip is riveted to the bumper and molded in

well thanks alot guys for all the help, not trying to be a pain or anything, but can someone point me at the right direction were i can get the si lip 99-00? will the ebay one work? should i pay more for the polyuthane? can someone show me a link were they explain step by step how to do it? i payed 185$ for my lip which because of the fact its under my car, im sweaping the streets of miami cuz its to low. Help fellas honestly, ive broken 3 clips on it already with speedbumps lol check the pics, u can see
