Post by BigDutch » Wed Jan 17, 2007 10:24 pm

Alright, from a test, it seems that its not possible to clear coat the Duplicolor Chrome paint...

WHY?

&

Is any other way of protecting the chrome paint?

First, I must know what you are "chroming", so I know if I must laugh or not, then, I will point out that Alsa Corporation sells the only REAL chrome spray.

Go to the killer cans section, for what it does, it is a phenominal price. If you are into chrome, think about the possibilities, valve cover, intake, intake manifold, your ENTIRE interior, your ENTIRE exterior........it's a great price.

I am just painting my HVAC bezel. I just want dress up the interior a bit more, playing off the chrome door handles.

Spray the top of your dash too. Then try driving on a sunny day. I'd stay clear of too much chrome on the interior (or exterior for that matter).
