For the people with no cats!

Well i just passed emissions. I do have a cat but its towards the back of the car and my downstream is before the cat on the LTH. What i did was the spark plug anti-fouler mod. I think someone posted the link a while ago. I drove the car since the mod for about 150 miles and no CEL. If anyone wants me to post up the link let me know.

yeh i did that mod and i get no codes from not having a cat. been driving it around for a year now like that and havent seen one code pop up for the missing cat.

so...does that mean that a stock neon would pass emissions in CA w/ no cat, if it got past the visual?

I dont know how they do it in CA, but if they go by monitors then it should pass, but you will have to know someone to pass the visual or gut the cat. I have a gutted cat here if someone wants it make me an offer.

can this be put on your upstream sensor? Either my PCM doesn't like my new OBX or i have a bad 02 sensor.

I dont think it will work on the upstream because the upstream is for your a/f ratio whereas the downstream is just to check the cat.
