Have you guys lost any type of mailings/packages using USPS? I sent an artwork to TNK two weeks ago and he hasn't received it yet.
I was hoping that he'd receive it. There goes about a month of drawing down the drain...
I should've used UPS or Fedex. Then again, I don't know how they'd lose such a big piece of envelope (12" X 18").
Ok, that's enough rant for today.

UPS lost a few things that I know of but I worked in Shipping/receiving so you will see that kinda stuff every now and then. Though it's usually not their fault.
USPS hasn't lost anything of mine...they have been way late on a few things. I had a package come in 3 weeks late. Keep calling them and bothering them until they find it.
Did you put insurance on it or anything?

The USPS delivered my package to the wrong house. If it wasnt for the honest people that lived there, I would of never gotten it.

It was kind of my fault for being careless because there was no insurance
I assumed that it'd get there no matter what. It's just that all that effort on drawing that picture is worthless, oh well...

Never had anything lost through Canada Post or USPS. Keep in mind you are in Maryland and TwiNK is in Washington, you're shipping cross country. Giver another week or so, he'll get it. Last time I shipped from southern Ontario to the coast of Washington state it took around two and a half weeks.

Shipped out Dec 6th.
Tracking said Enroute.. I checked the other day,
"Returned to sender"
Sender emailed me saying oh they lost it blah blah blah...

They've sent stuff to me really late, but I don't recall anything being lost. I have had to resend maybe once or twice because they lost what I sent out, though.
Probably your best option for valuable artwork that you don't want to have to replace is Registered Mail. That is more expensive than your run-of-the-mill insured mail, but they do pay a lot more attention to your piece of mail that way. It comes with insurance, too.

That's what I get for being cheap. I thought it was one of the best drawings I've done of a car.
I should've taken Mike's advice and made him a copy but nooo I didn't listen.
Maybe it'll pop sometime in the future. Here was the pic of it from the old topic. It looked better after I finished it.

I only use USPS. Fedex cracked 2 of my wheels and UPS smashed my neon lights and delivered parts to the wrong house.

Also every damn time I order something and they ship through USPS, i'm of course provided with a tracking number, but USPS never UPDATES the damn thing. The only update I ever get with any of my packages with them is after it has been delivered.. Why even offer the system if it isnt utilized? What a waste. The same thing with Fedex. Of course, Fedex hsnt delivered my package to the wrong house yet like USPS, so I really dont mind them much.

i work for an airline loading luggage and mail.. alot of airlines transport mail cause USPS pays them per piece so its basically free money..
since i work at the airport and i used to pick up and deliver the mail to the plane and to the mail house.. i can see how a lot of mail gets lost.. it can fall out of the cart, sits outside in the rain/snow, even get ran over.. you name it, it happens.
i only ship fedex these days, not only for the tracking (USPS has 0 tracking, the closest thing they have is delivery comfirmation which means they can the barcode when you drop it off, and when it arrives at the destination it gets scanned again.. no where else along the line does it get tracked) but because ive never had a problem with fedex in all the years of selling on forums and ebay.
if its something that i can afford to lose it will prolly go USPS but anything over $5 gets Fedex'd
