Bronze or Gunmetal?

Post by DannyBoy » Thu Feb 17, 2005 1:08 am

Well, as most of you guys know, I recently put my snowflakes back on and took off the motegi's. Now I want to paint the motegi's. I was wondering which color to paint them. Gunmetal to match the hood and window tint, or bronze to look like Len Ayala's blue first gen.

There is a pic of my car in my sig. And more pics on my www at the bottom.

Thanks

Really? Everyone I have seen has painted there rims gunmetal, so many people on the org. I have yet to see one blue neon with bronze rims.

DancingFroggy: Thanks for your input! Much appreciated

Bronze is getting popular, but it's still way under the popularity of gunmetal wheels. Be different...go with bronze. It would complement the hell out of your color.

Bronze. Gunmetal is getting kinda played out. One color I saw that looks really good is the color of my friends rims on his Spec V. It's called something like German Gunmetal, it looks like a mix between bronze and gunmetal. Something like that would look pretty bad ass on your car man.

You people saying gunmetal is played out. Ha. Bronze is played out just as much.

Go for flat black.

If your going to paint them i say bronze. However, I like the silver rims on your car.

I really don't care for the played out look, because I am pretty much the only fixed up neon in San Jose, so there is no chance of copying anyone. And why is everyone saying bronze is played out, because I have only seen like 4 neons with bronze rims, and they were all first gens.

Thanks for your input everyone.

go for copper. its a little more "orange" than bronze. i think it would look good with blue, and its a little different without getting away from the look you want.

P.S. - Randy, you dont think flat black is played yet? over here on the west side of cincy every retard ricer with "sport compact, y0!" has rattle can flat black wheels... holla!

Thanks for the input again.

I have decided to go with bronze. I am trying to find the color name for the stock WRX rims that look bronze'ish. They look too light to be pure bronze. Maybe a light bronze or something.

*Searches the net for the color name*

Gold? They don't look "Bling Bling" like normal gold rims. I guess I am going with a goldish color then.
