OFFICAL LED Rope light product!

Post by Mr Josh Zombie » Mon Jan 22, 2007 1:24 pm

This is no long a group buy I've concluded. You may have seen posts on neons.org, 2gn.org, toledotuners.com, SRTforums.com, jbody.org, and here it is again! Seamless underbody light!

L.E.D Rope light:
All 3 different types of rope light can be cut, extended, and connected together to fit your specific application. The rope is marked in which points it can be cut down. Just in case you somehow damage your rope, you can easily cut off the damaged points, so you only loose a chuck of rope instead of ruining your whole strand!

I have several packages for sale:

First Option is a single 26’ strand of Rope light. It can be used for just about anything you can think of. All rope light is 12v, filled with 288 colored L.E.Ds incased in solid plastic tubing.

It's a simple positive and negative hook up. You can either plug into a cigarette lighter, or cut off the adapter, and hardwire into a 12v source.

Second Option is an Underbody rope light kit. You would receive 52' of rope, (which is a little more than enough to go around the car once) and about 5' of pigtail to either plug into a cig lighter, or cut off and hardwire. The rope is divided into two 26' sections, incase one is damaged, This kit is 100% waterproof, and has no problems molding to the contours of the car. This will create a seamless strand of light, all the way under the car and up into the wheel wells.

The third product I have for sale is LED chaser lights! This product is only available for Blue, Red, and a Red/White/Green combo. These kits come with a multi functional control that has 8 different settings. Uses less than 2 amps, and comes with screws and clips for mounting anywhere. Two of the settings include fade in/fade out, and chase light.

I will include mounting hardware with the underbody kit ONLY, which is about 50 little mounting tabs and zip ties.

Mounting equipment:

Any questions, please ask!

FAQ:
To help eliminate questions:
-For one, you're not going to find 12v LED rope light, anywhere else for this cheap. Someone on Jbody.org tried to own me with this website:
http://www.lightingfx.com/item--LED-Rope-Light--RL-LED
Here's there prices though:
Blue Rope Light: 2.95 + 2.50 = 5.45 x 26' = 141.70 + Shipping and handeling.

I sell 52' for $160 shipped.

Anymore questions?

-What you see on eBay is really cheap rope light. 9/10, they use colored tubing with clear bulbs... it results in really dim light. Trust me, I have some with me right now and will glady take pictures. My product is a solid clear PVC tubing that using colored LEDs, and just keeps getting brighter and brighter as they manufator the light for me I've noticed

-At home depot, lowes, Target, whatever, I doubt you'll find actual LED rope light that's 12v. The best you're going to find, is 110 - 120v rope light that uses bulbs instead of LEDs, and will require a power invertor to use in your car. Not to mention, bulbs will not be able to withstand the shock they would get from being attatched to the car. LEDs are durable, and not to mention, completely protected by there housing.

so i got the other rope light in.
My computer at home is being a HUGE bitch, so I can't upload pictures -yet-. But, i can do a general review.

It is cheaper than my product, but the quality also shows.
They're both clear with colored LEDs. The connections are slightly different. Mine have little notches that you must line up in order to fit properly, so it makes it MUCH more secure.

The overall color isn't NEARLY as deep of a cobalt blue as mine is, and it's also about 1/2 of the brightness.... if that. I defentally wasn't impressed.

so, z3roneo, if I were you, I wouldn't order from them... defentally not worth the money. But hey, it's up to you. I -am- awefully biased after all. (did you order, actually?) ;)

hopefully, pictures will be up sometime in the next few days. It all depends on if I get my computer to stop acting stupid.

Well, there's no "signing up" anymore. It's no longer a group buy, just a simple "send money when you have it" sort of thing.

I'll take pictures tonight when I get home of how mine are generally installed, as well as a comparision to the other lights. I finally got my computer 100% up and running, so there shouldn't be a problem.

And I've always routed mine generall on the sides of my engine bay, and they held up just fine. As long as you don't route them directly -on- the engine, you'll be fine. :)

it's alright, i'm going to be putting a hold on this for awhile anyways.

Turns out, I'm having some problems with ebay/paypal/scams, and i may have to close down my pay-pal and tell ebay to go to hell. We'll see what happens.

I had the:
Underbody kit: $163 Shipped (Mounting hardware is included FREE!)

On my car. The chaser rope light just added a control box and a different type of hook up to make the LEDs do different things under 8 different settings.

But, since this has been a LONG ass time, i can't get those good of prices anymore, and I'm too lazy to get the mounting hardware.

I don't know how much money you have or what you're looking to spend, but to say the least, there beat out ANY of the street glow underbody kits. They're cheaper, easier to install, give a seamless look, and a lot more durable.

PM me if you have any questions, i'm going to ask a mod to lock this up for me
