Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

HID housings for 00-02 neons

Post by rice_eater » Fri Jan 26, 2007 2:11 pm

someone posted this on our local srt forum... i think some of you might find it very usefull

this is what ive found so far, they are the neon version of what is made for the cobalt, and many other cars, though for some strange reason they have not made an 03+ version.....
pretty silly considering tons of SRT4 guys would probably love an inexpensive projector setup.

Anyways, Im going to get in contact with the manufactorer (K2 racing) and have a chat with them. They just recently agreed to supply to one of our vendors to set up a group buy for us on Cobaltss.net for at current count 40+ people....

Also, before I dig to deep how different are the 03+ headlight housings from the one in that pic?
is it just that squared off DRL/indicator piece thats gone?
is the rest of the headlight the same shape?

If your wondering....these headlights currently only cost $155 US,
and they are the ideal thing for HID lighting.
the quality is great, the only issue that I know of with these lights, is that some people in high humidity areas have had issues with fogging.

As a result when i recieved mine I ran an extra bead of silicone around all the seals and havent had a single fog up yet.

Im not looking to make any money, or vendor these or GB these....Im just going to have a chat with them and see if they can come up with a product for you guys, and an inexpensive projector for you HID guys.

They've actually been out for awhile now, a few members actually have them but I don't think they've posted in awhile :-?

I've heard mixed reviews on them though, one person says they have decent light output, others say they really suck.

Yeah they're nice, a little too much going on, but it'd be nice to see a straight up review on these.
