Digital Camera

Post by SlvrACR » Sat Jan 27, 2007 8:51 pm

Well its time to upgrade my camera to something new. Im looking for something thin and light. 5-7 MP and can take nice pics in a close range. Any that you guys use that have these options? Im kind of leaning toward Canon's since I like their quick shutter speeds

All my nerd friends say Canon as well. I like the A640 myself. It's in the sub- $250 range when you look hard enough for it online.

Well, that's the one I have had my eye on for sometime. Sony takes the Sony only Memory Stick Duo Pro memory cards. Nix those right off your list unless you like Sony stuff or have a PSP. Pretty much every other camera takes the SD cards. I buy the microSD cards and use the adapter for my camera needs because I can then use the little cards in my cell phone. Plus you can get a 2GB card for under $60 with some looking and some luck.

I am currently running a Canon S3IS and I love it.

It has an auto stting if you feel like using it as more of a P 'n' S but also has manual control to adjust all your settings if you so desire.

My Dad recently purchases the A630 which is the previous mode to the 640 and he really likes it. I really like it too for something to be able to throw in the car instead of my bulky Panasonic. He really likes it though and it does take some really nice photos.
