hit and run pics

Post by racer12306 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:23 pm

I figured I would put the pics here as to not clog up the OT thread.

First up is the sentra that was hit by the beetle and pushed into me.

^this corner hit the neon

Now the beetle. The beetle is worse than it looks in my opinion. But good news is her dad talked with the insurance co and they say its worth ~$7000. Not bad for a 9 year old car with 76000 miles.

And finally the neon. I think the neon looks worse than it is.

heres the fluid trail that started right after impact

Rear quarter panel damage sucks. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Is insurance going to pay for the costs?

insurance is going to cover everything, except deductables of course. mine is $250 and i think hers is similar.

exact info about what happened is in the thread that i linked.

normally i back in but for the last few days i have been pulling in forward which is a damn good thing because it probably wouldn't be drivable and i would have lost the time and money i just put into my new hood struts, that would have really set me off if that would have happened.

Hey where are you gettin a rental from???? If your goin through enterprise i can def hook u up with a free upgrade to somthing nice.. Most insurance companies give out a compact like a caliber,neon,cobalt,g5 somthin small but i could probally get you into a standard like an 07 imprezza or mazda 6 or possibly a maxima if they have them or even a 2.0t passat lemme know ill see if i can do somthing that long distance for a cousin .... lol

ewww, aveo.

i told the person at enterprise that im not a small person so if it was possible one of the larger compacts would be much preferred. im 6' - 2"ish and 275lbs, i dont think id fit in an aveo. i barely fit in the neon.

That Aveo was a pile!!! I had my foot up it's a$$ to pass someone that pulled out in front of me and was going 15mph (it's 45mph speedlimit). When I'm just barely passing this person, I'm looking down at the stupid RPMs and speedometer, push even harder on the gas pedal, and just remember thinking, WTF?

sorry about the neon, but the bug needs painted. What a crappy job painting it red. Look at all the overspray in the wheelwells. And all the blue underneath. Looks like a Maaco job.....

thats actually VW paint afaik.

it has been in an accident before but that was front damage. it needs a lot more than just paint. aparantly the list is pretty longs as far as what i needs. i dont know exactly what, but there is a good bit of hidden damage.
