Keyless Entry honk?

Does anyone know a way to turn off the honk when you look the doors? I hate it and want it off now! (still no manuel so do tell me to check it..)

I don't think there is a way to turn it off.......other than maybe pull your "horn" fuse....?

yeah its in the owners manual and its a really simple process i just dont remember it off hand.

ill try and look up the process for you tomorrow, i dont feel like going outside =p

there is a way, this is out of a srt-4 manual but same stuff

The horn chirp that signals that the doors have been locked can be toggled on or off by using the following procedure:

1. Insert the ignition key and turn the switch to the ON/Run position.

2. Press and hold the UNLOCK button on the transmitter for 4 to 10 seconds.

3. Continue to hold the UNLOCK button and press the LOCK button

4. Release both buttons.

A chime will sound to signify that the feature has been successfully completed
"Vtec is always on"

hmm.. maybe Im retarded but I couldn't get that to work... all it did was try to unlppk the doors repetedly.

I'll look in my '04 owner's manual soon as I get a chance.

It can also be disabled with the DRB III on the CUSTOMER PREFERENCES screen.

I did it and I got the beep. But when I got out of my car and shut the door, then pressed the button it honked. ?

ya it worked on my 04 SXT...

did it once to take the honk away and re-did it to get the honk back!

Same process worked on my '04 R/T.

The key to changing it over is to hold both buttons until the chime sounds.
