Thanks everyone for passing it on!

I really dont' want to see any sort of 1GN vs 2GN thing, we're all a family, we all have a car that is titled the Neon so I'd rather not have people taking sides or a split between the two.

Yes the sites are separate but I really wish they weren't. I tried to make the forum where they would be separate but share the same userbase, PM box, OT area, Feedback sections, and any other section that wasn't Generation specific but no one has ever done such and thing and me not knowing php well enough to figure it out I wasn't able to do it. It would have been great, all the info would have been seperate forum so when someone is looking for a 1GN answer they search on 1GN and only find 1GN related topics and same goes for 2GN yet the OT section would be shared so everyone could converse with each other regardless of what generation they owned. Thats what I ultimately wanted but just as I said above, I just couldn't get it to work and no one else has done such a thing that I could find. The more I also thought about it the more I thought it might not be such a good idea if at some point the forum needed to be upgraded but couldn't due new coding for the shared sections... it would have been really messy

i just hope that it doesn't turn into a 1GN vs. 2GN... each has their pros and cons but both carry the same Neon name.

But anyway, Thanks everyone and I hope a lot of you do join up on the other forum and help take part in creating 1GN.org so it carries the same environment as 2GN. Just don't bring the 2GN is better than 1GN or 1GN is better than 2GN attitude b/c thats not anyway to start something off

I can't say if the forum will take off, just like I said with 2GN in the beginning... it could very well die, it could very well take off like a bat out of hell... I have no idea since I'm not Ms. Cleo. I can't force people to use it, I can't tell them to leave another site, thats their decision but if they want to come to 1GN.org then the door is open. I hope it takes off and think it can and if it does just like this site, I'll keep it going as long as I possibly can.

Not much more I can really say though b/c I can't think of anything else but with the support of everyone on here and your praise for how this forum is ran we're going to try our best to continue that over there.

I just want to say I hope that everyone knows that anything I say/have said about 1g vs 2g is all meant in good fun, as friendly ribbing. I chose the user name '1st gen troll' purely as a joke and made some joking comments on here over the last year or two about how 1st gens are better and what not, and made the post above thinking that way, but I never Bash on anyones car, unless they are a total RB anyways.

I'll admit it, I actually kinda like 2nd gens.

I wouldn't mind having a 2g for a daily, and after having the privilege of driving it a few times, I would absolutely love to own Jason's white car.

No worries man... gotta take the good with the bad. I don't expect it to be accepted everywhere by everyone so there will always be those people no matter where you go. I'm sure there are some members on here that thought the same thing about 2GN but their minds could have changed... all takes time...

hey i have an idea in case it doesnt work out to well, how about doing two diffrent URLs ...ie.... 2gn.org and 1gn.org and combine them together to bring everyone to this forum and then make a section pertaining to 1st gen's cause really they are pretty much the same car lol ! just my .02

That was another idea but there were some people voicing their opinion saying they'd like to see it more of the information seperated completely. Lets face it, the search feature isn't widely accepted and trying to find answers can be hard at times... mix the information together and it can be even harder trying to filter through the 1st gen posts if you're looking for something thats 2nd gen and vice versa. Granted they'd have their own sections but that would make the index huge and I doubt anyone would want to see an index page listing 100 different forums... i know I sure don't.

Ugh, honestly I'm not surprised at that thread getting locked but I'd rather not sit here and argue about it since I can't do anything about it. If thats what they want or need to do for who knows what reason... oh well I suppose. Maybe they consider it spam but whatever... I could bitch and moan and it wouldn't do a damn thing...

I wish I could combine them, I really do just so there isn't a general idea that one is better than the other for being seperated. Both people could converse between each other, know each other no matter which forum they were a part of but alas... no one has ever done such a thing

Thanks though, I hope it takes off... only time will tell though. There seems to be a lot of people behind it.. A LOT so I think it will take off but there were those critics that may try to ruin it for others

Just keep passing the word along and it should grow pretty fast like I'm hoping it does.

It doesn't suprise me that those who chimed in and posted typical responses, did so... chipdogg, vitor, dweeb, lorenzo... I do not know waht their problem is, but I guess being an eJerk makes them feel like men, than whatever.

That is why I left. I don't like having to watch every freaking letter I type because I am afraid I am going to get bann'd and never be able to use the resources it has again! I like this place because of info, the people, and the atmosphere.

It's like a full toolbox in that thread. For lack of a better way of putting it, they are all f**king retards. It looks really good too when that is some of their "top" people.
