engine codes and their meanings
as some of u know. i got out of the neon world for a bit when my turbo 03 stopped running.
it wont turn over, it wont run, you cant push start it. it does nothing.
well i pulled the codes it thru, and got
P0335 CKP Sensor A Circuit Performance
wtf does that mean. i think thats the one keeping my car from running.
it also thru a 513 and 515 i believe which dont show up on the sticky for codes. but what is the ckp shit all about?

completley dead like you just stated, couldn't even push start it...
don't know how the fuses are on the neon, i've never had a problem to were i had to find out... yet..

Basically CKP is short for crank sensor.
P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
P0513 Incorrect Irnmobilizer Key
P0515 Battery Temperature Sensor Circuit

Do anything to your SKIM lately? If you're throwing a 513 it sounds like you're in more or less a shutdown mode which disables the starter and injectors so the car never turns over but the car should still turn on, lights flash, done light, ect.... key just does nothing.
If you want to try and reset it, try this...
Keep the battery in the car and put it on a charger to prevent the battery from dieing.
Turn the car to the ON position but do not attempt to start it
Leave it sit there for at least an hour.
Then try to start it...
If it's in that protection mode that should reset it and allow you to start it BUT, if you are using the wrong keys that don't match the SKIM and PCM then doing the above steps may not work until you fix the key or SKIM. Some cars, if you don't use your spare key often it can lose it's information and not work anymore... I dunno if thats the case on the SKIS keys as well but if you haven't driven your car in a long time that could be the culprit, in which case you could need a new key.
I'd try to do the reset thing first and see what that does...

yea, but why woud it have shut off in the first place? it happen at the track. i got wicked wheel hop and the car shut off. and now it does nothing?
i pulled out the main engine harness under the hood t check for shorts and got nothing.
the dealership told me last time it happen it was the "auto shut down" relay. so i switched itout with the fuel pump relay and both work fine. but it still does nothing but turn on.
any ideas why it wont do sh$t. and what causes the auto shut down relay to not click over like it should?
will the car not start because of a bad crank sensor or it not being plugged in?

The reason Im asking is because I have a Hahn S16g on my car but its a 2000 so I didn't have to fight with NGC adjustiing timing to all hell........but I'm selling my kit to a guy with a 2003 neon and from another thread it was said that the ONLY way around NGC and boost is the Hahn Portfueler, AEM EMS, or MegaSquirt....................
Is there no other way other than those?
There is the thread: http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=16051

"Hold up, you mean to tell me a broken clock is right twice a day?" Brilliant...
Diablo/Unsuperman- Do you think pulling the SKIM module out completely might help him get the car running?
You can turbo it, but you will forever have 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio because of NGC, unless you pull the upper o2 sensor, but then the car will have crappy a crappy a/f all the time.

Doubt it, I've done that just to test it and the car won't start. If you try to start it enough times with the incorrect key or SKIM the car goes into a protection mode which disabled the starter so when you turn the key over there is nothing, not even a click or a dimming of the dome light...

lol not half way, the shift to second got awesome wheel hop and it went out there. ive never used anything but the same 2 keys. and when it died i was driving it regualrly. it really nnoying. could the fuel pump have anything to do with it?
i wonder what controls the ASD relay and what causes it not to click over. like what wires run thru it,.,
