I got a clear 3rd brake light. How do I remove the oem third brake light without breaking it once I removed the 2 10mm nuts. I also got clear corner markers, they just pop out right?

The clear 3rd has 4 tabs to remove the red lense from the housing.....just pry the tabs to get the red lense off(I think that's what yer asking?)

The Clear Corners have a metal clip lock on the back of them. Just pry the metal clip off of the "nipple" and then they just pop out....very simple.

odds are you will break one of the tabs on the third brake light... its just what happens

sorry, forgot to mention that....I actually just cracked a tab, I didn't break it...but it is tuff not to damage it at all.....

If you bought the ModernPerformance 3rd brake light assembly all you'll have to do is take the 2 10MM bolts off, then give it a firm push on the outside to push it off the studs. The pastic gets caught on the studs and makes it kinda hard to get off.

got em all in, only thing is the 3rd brake light didn't come with a red bulb. so now ppl will think I am backing up when I hit the brakes, might scare some germans on the autobahn

I have the same problem.......I had to dye my stock bulb amber(b/c that's the only color I could find.......) but the heat from the bulb melts the dye away, and it just get's lighter and lighter......

Anybody know a bulb number for a RED bulb that will fit the 3rd Brake light...???

Just go grab some translucent red paint and paint it. It will withstand the heat just fine. But put quite a few coats on it, or you will be driving aro und a pink lit neon.

If you goto Home Depot and go back in their outdoor lighting section they usually carry the Malibu Low Voltage lighting kits and bulbs. I bought a pack of their red bulbs thats made for their kit and am using that since they take the heat much better than APC bulbs and the color doesn't fade to pink.

Problem with that is those bulbs are usually made by TYC or APC and the color fades making the light turn pink or almost white.

Meant that as a joke, germans aren't into asian cars, so no rice shops unless it's an asian food market.
