broken axles?

when someone breaks there axles from wheel hop, how exactly do they break? does the bar in the middle break in half or do the wheels in the rubber housing break or what happens?

they usually snap inside the rubber boot where the joints are

Not me. The shaft looked like a softy freeze ice cream. But ya, Usually break in the tripod.

I've only broken one axle and it was the outer joint on the passenger side. I was 16, still learning about cars, and my motor mounts were SHOT from clutch drops all the time. Went to chirp 2nd and let me tell you, I have never heard a car make that kind of noise since that day, haha. Damn thing took out my steering rack with it.
