thanks I like your SRT, one of my future plans is to drop a SRT engine but man from the guide on this forum and from what I read it looks like what heck of an undertaking I pretty much need the whole front end of an SRT minus the body to get that engine to work so maybe I can find an SRT that got rear-ended :) but anyhow that wont be for a long while... anyhow Im rambling, thanks again

ya it was an honest mistake I dont see the big deal in it or the owned remark? TNK put an SRT front end so I naturally assumed it was an srt fron the picture I could see and didnt notice his profile but I guess you always have at least one immature person on every forum so ehh no biggie.

Anyhow thanks to everyone else who gave their welcome its much appreciated.

Yeah what he said. And I make fun of anyone who has SRT fronts pretty much so it was just funny. Welcome though. This is going to sound weird but I like your hair (no homo)

ehh no worries I get a lot of people who like my hair, and I could care less even if he was gay I would take it as a complement either way, I have a couple of friends who are gay so ehh whatever. :)

Sometimes when I let my beard grow out a little a lot of people think I look like Shawn William Scott, I even got stopped by a homeless person once in San Fran that wanted to say that to me then he asked for 3 bucks lol.

I just looked at your profile, hehe great minds think a like =p
I have the same speakers mounted the same way in my neon ^_^ in the same fashion, my theme colors for my neon are Silver, Black, and Blue thus why I used those pioneer speakers as they have a silver grill and a blue cone :D Next will be my door trim panel and head liner, still figuring out what I want to do to the dash, I do plan to swap out the gauges to either SXT or SRT gauges but that will be later down the road.

I have the basic mph gauge and where the tach would be located is where my fuel and other info is located, so I would be going from that to having a tach which is what I want to do but I like the looks of the SRT gauges more than I do that of the SXT but the SXt gauges have the same speedometer as the basic cluster where as the SRT goes up to 160 but Im not sure I get mixed replies on if people who swapped to the SRT was having their speed misread and others say it works fine so Im not sure on that one.

I'm almost positive that your SRT gauges would read incorrectly in a non-SRT. Fitting 160 mph in a 120mph (or 140mph in the R/T's case) space will cause the speed to be off. It doesn't know you put a cluster in that has different spacing between the miles per hour, so it's reading what you're doing from the wheels.

Nice, I didn't realize anyone else had done that speaker set up

well its plug and play electronics, it is read from the wheels but then the signal is sent to the ecu reads what cluster you have and send the speed, thats why most people said that the speed read out was correct but again there isnt any hard proof that I could find that said it didnt work but I would prefer actual paper proof versus someone saying something like I drove past a police stationary speed read out and it read correctly, not to mention you would take your car to the dealer anyways with the gauges so that they can send it off to correct to mileage on the unit so maybe trhey do something there as well to make sure it works because every dealer I called said it would work I would just have to bring in the car and cluster so they can correct the miles. The only complaints I have heard is the SE doesnt have some of the things a srt has like abs brakes so that light remains red all the time but people said to pull out those leds that the vehicle doesnt use to solves that problem.

Also Im going to like these forums a lot of female members ^_^ thats hard to come by on other sites.
