But, like some people, if you don't have the cash for a set of aftermarket rims, at least find some other stockers (snowflakes, 7 spokes) and paint them. I think it's just that the stock rims you have to begin with (no offence) are the ugliest offered out of all the stock rims on Neons, and don't look any better painted.

I think it looks good!
as for getting aftermarket rims, they aren't cheap to deal with. If you need them balanced its cost extra money due to the stick on weights, most shops don't even have the stick on weights. I have also been told that with most aftermarket rims, if you want to get them balanced properly, they have to be balanced on the car. Theres a machine that does that. Pretty $$$$. I say start out with painting your stockers first...

I say, if you're doing the painted/polished lip, you should actually have a lip first. I never liked how rims looked like that when it's a stock rim w/o a lip. But I like the color choice
edit: after looking at it again, I suggest just going to Autozone and getting some Duplicolor Graphite. That would look good. And if you wanted, maybe tape off some other sections and paint those silver? It's a pain in the ass but looks good when done.
That's what I did with my rims--spokes silver, insides graphite. No ripping on the hood, I was fitting the hood and checking for gaps.

edit #2: how about, paint the spokes silver, the rest graphite, including the lip. photoshop? I think it'd look sweet lol.

i say do that. it looks hawt compared to the wheels stock.... since you are planning on some new wheels anyways, why not give that a shot? would be a good look IMO til you got wheels.

You can buy aftermarket 17" wheel/tire combos for dirt cheap these days. Check out www.wheelmax.com for an example. I like my wheels big, but i'd take some cheap 17's over stock ones anyday.
Agreed. You can get packages as low as $599 for some 17s.sullygully wrote:You can buy aftermarket 17" wheel/tire combos for dirt cheap these days. Check out www.wheelmax.com for an example. I like my wheels big, but i'd take some cheap 17's over stock ones anyday.

I'm not digging the white part, but going the full black/graphite would be good.
