Insurance for my car

Post by MarkGetsIt » Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:13 pm

no one will insure my car because of the air ride ::thumbs down::
now i know everyone is going to be like "why the hell did you tell them". well my buddy had a bagged focus and got into an accident and the insurance voided his policy out as soon as they realized he changed his suspension...

i need to find an insurance company that will insure my car and insure the upgrades i've done to it. i would love to find "show car" insurance, considering i now have a daily driver, but its an 2002 and i can't find a company to insure it witout spending 6000 a year just for insurance on the neon

any and all help is greatly appreciated

Go with a quality insurance company. Verify with the agent that coverage is valid with aftermarket parts installed. I have State Farm, and they will actually cover aftermarket parts, provided they are installed in the car, and are not accessories just sitting in the car.
ASP - First NGC SOHC in the 13s and the 12s. First SOHC neon over 500whp. First NGC Neon on MS.

thats weird cuz the state farm rep by me, gave me a quote for both of my cars (and its was really really really good) and then the next day i had check in hand and he was like "sorry i checked with corprate, and they said they can't insure the car because its 'too modified'."

i was like wtf, and everyone i called either laughs and hangs up, or they want 500 to 650 a month

hey SlvrACR, ask your mom to insure me!!! i need a car, its been a week and i'm dying

Wow, never heard of them not insuring a bagged car.. you want the bags to be covered in insurance too right? Or they straight up won't cover you?

Yea hagerty insures like old cars and exotics, but they currently do show cars too. Its real deal im very impressed on there set up, The only bad thing is that you have to renew it every year as they dont take montly payments. I ended up kick out like $1200 for the entire year so it breaks out to $100 a month(for full coverage thats not bad). Mine is also due to them knowing my car is in a garage, that i dont drive it no more than 1200-1500 a year, and that i have another car insured under a diffrent car insurance.

can't find anything for "tuner" or "show" cars.

Just classics, low-riders, exoicts... so on and so forth. :?

"Hi Joshua,

I am sorry to have to tell you that due to the household driving record
we would not be able to write your auto insurance at this time. You
will be receiving a letter in few days explaining a little further.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity.

Jackie"
