uuhhh weird tower bars?

Post by Adam_T » Thu Feb 08, 2007 10:02 am

okay so...i got a megan racing front upper tower bar the other day and the guy installed it for free because he was doing my brakes anyways...

here is the question...

it is the 2 bolt half bracket connectors on both ends....(as in it looks like the ones for the rear)

and every single front upper strut bar i have seen for neons has the full circle bracket that connects to every bolt....

is mine supposed to only connect to 2 bolts and look like a crescent moon bracket? or.....did they order me the wrong one and just throw it on there like it was no big deal.

I ran a search on Ebay (Dodge Neon Strut Bar) and apparently there are FTSB with the cresent 2 bolt curve.

So Yes.

i didnt need to install it myself. and i needed new pads/new rotors installed so the shop installed them for cheap and since i ordered the bar thru their place they were like " oh we threw that on too for free"

so...doesnt really matter does it? haha. saves me time and costs no money so...eh.

EDIT: installed springs, hood, intake, valve cover, and debadged and shaved myself.

and just b/c i didnt install one part doesnt mean anything. not being a dick but seriously. the only thing ive talked about having help installing is a transmission swap, turbo system, and a swap <-----kinda complicated no?

so yeah. zip ya lip

:withstupid:

Yea, it really wasn't. I asked a simple question.
Most people do there breaks themselves, and a strut bar takes a few minutes to do... yourself.
That way it, you know what you ordered, you know what you installed, so on and so forth.

Search the web a little, and yes, they DO make strut bars that are half, for our cars.

www.google.com

^that should help you. :)

haha. did the "zip ya lip" seem that offending? lol if so, you must be rather sensitive ;-) <---kidding as well.

and opi, if i want to install something, i will, if i dont want to install something and am lazy, i wont. big deal. its okay opi...its time to let go. move on. :-)

oh, and you are late. i already " googled " and contacted megan racing and talked to them about it.

thanks though! gotta love the help of some ppl.

I have the DC Sports front and rear (Branded as Mopar) and the rear fits great, once it warms up I gotta play with the front a little to try and make it fit properly.
