The new "Family" Car

Post by eVilcreations » Mon Feb 28, 2005 10:14 pm

Hey guys......

Well with the twins on the way, and us being buried by interest on the nasty blue oval that was in the drive(focus).....we decided it was time to get a bigger vehicle since we couldn't fit all 3 car seats in the neon or the focus....

Here it is:

and this picture is the Cruiser with some "friends"(SRT-10, SRT-4, and VIPER )
Image

It's an '05 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Edition, FULLY loaded, 56 miles on it after our test drive. Ended up paying about 2 grand less than sticker after they paid off the focus.....:P

I would've never imagined us getting approved for it, but it just happened to work out for us.

I sure couldn't picture Jenn(or me) driving a damn mini van, so this was the next best thing....:wav:

Well welcome to the neon club.

You do know that this is just another neon. Well the platform at least but you will find a lot of common things between the two.

Congradulations.

I kind of wish that you would have gotten the 2.4T engine but the one that is in there now would be just fine.

Enjoy it. let us know how you like it compared to the focus.

You are a funny man...........

Anyway, there was no need to spend the extra money on the turbo motor when it's just gonna be the family cruiser......Just now had it for a little over 24 hours.....I'll keep you all updated on the likes/dislikes of the Cruiser.

and yes, I know it's based on the neon platform....... :D

I wouldnt say its based on a neon platform, how many neons do you know of with a solid rear axle?

Why does everything think the PT is a repackaged neon? lol

very nice. what color did you get? my dad has one and i drive it every so often when i'm out visiting him. his has a stick, and it's quite peppy for being the NA 2.4 (it's an 02, so turbo wasn't an option at the time). i don't know about fitting 3 cars seats in the back of it though. when my step-brother, brother-in-law, and i sit in the back, it is VERY cramped. good luck with it though. it's a nice car. ;)

Shoulda got a dodge magnum... no problem fitting 3 car seats in that. I know in my neon I find it cramped with 1 car seat and an 11 year old in the back and a PT isnt' that much bigger

Very nice...I drove a PT Cruiser before. Wouldn't mind having one just to cruise around in myself.

Thank you all for your concerns about the carseat issue........I test fit all 3 of the car seats in several different vehicles, and for the money.....they fit in the cruiser the best.....

Our dealers suck. they carry no Vipers, SRT-10 or SRT-4's in stock. They even had to order my SXT?!

well when the PT was in its preproduction phases it was known internally as the tall neon. It has the solid rear axle so it will qualify as a truck for CAFE standards.
