Hi-Lo HID KIT.. should i get it???

Post by MarkGetsIt » Tue Feb 13, 2007 3:16 pm

so my roommate has an 04 dodge ram hemi. and he bought a hi-lo HID 9007 kit off ebay, and then he bought projector headlights, not realizing that the new housing used H1s

he spent 325 on the kit i think, he needs to get rid of it, never used it and i told him i'd give him 250 for it. do you think its worth it. it siad plug and play, but you have to cut and splice wires... i donno about that... what do you guys think???

What wires do you have to splice? I say do it though.

that kit on ebay says it is for h4/9003. so i doubt those bulbs will work with the neon headlight housing. unless you are getting those projectors that fit that size bulb.

I think the link is just to show the type of kit because he said his roomate bought a 9007 kit.

If you feel you can get it to work no problem then I say do it. I've only dealt with true plug-n-play kits with splicing involved so I'm not sure how hard that would be.

even if there is any splicing it will most likely be just to splice into a positive power source and negative.

Yeah, my kit was plug and play and it was cake. The splicing shouldn't be too terribly difficult. I say jump on it.
