Ok so today i went over a buddies house and we were putting on my CAI and we noticed this weird contraption, take a look below

so this little device if thats what you want to call it is hooked to the WGA bar and the other end is hooked to a spring that is hooked to the battery tray. I'm guessing this is a poor mans way to make more boost??? i am not sure since i am sort of a newb when it comes to turbos.

Another question, while we were doing the CAI install i noticed there was some oil coming out of the turbo. looks like there was oil in the stock air box as well. I'm guessing this means i need to rebuild the turbo or ??? please advise me :)

Remove the spring... the spring mod works for about 5 minutes.

You will see oil in the turbo inlet as a result of blow by from the pcv valve, you will also find oil in the hotside pipe if you ever pull that off the intercooler. Its normal, get a catch can and it should fix the problem
