Does anyone have wheel spacers on their car?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is running wheel spacers like these:

What are your thoughts on these? Help at all with handling? Mess up camber? Look good or bad, pics? Just curious about these, thanks.

I'm not running wheel spacers on my car but after talking to a few wheel 'shops' (for the rims I'm lookin at) both told me that they don't go any lager than 3mm and that Wheel spacers can lead to unwanted vibration in the wheels. Essentially your better off if you don't have to use them. Also they said that if you do have to use them you might want to look into longer/stronger studs as well.

I wouldn't use anything that large sine going that big you're going to want to look into getting longer studs. Gong that thick you're getting very close to not having much in the way of threading for your lug nuts.

Overall though, spacers are okay when you're keeping the thickness small but 10+mm is a little too much when it comes to safety.

I bought some of the 8mm spacers that Modern Performance sells to try them out on the rear. Ended up ruining 4 out of the 10 rear lug nuts. They would go on...but they engaged so few threads, that after driving like that and then taking them off, the threads were totally jacked up, and stripping out. After seeing that, and throwing 4 of the lug nuts away, I would never put anything thicker than 5mm on with stock wheel studs.

I used to think that spacers were a perfectly good solution to having wheels with the wrong (or non-optimal) offset. I have now convinced myself that it really is best to just use the right size wheels. 35mm offset FTW.

If you must use thick spacers, use longer wheel studs (usually expensive....at least I haven't found any reasonable ones yet), and be prepared to have some vibration if the spacers are not hubcentric.

hey man i sell the eibach spacers at one of my jobs and they all so for show use only. They arent safe. it moves the stress point on the lug studs out away from the drum to about a quarter inch out from the drum and that wakes for a seriously weak point. Just get a better set of wheels with more offset and you'll be safe and accomplish the same thing.

NOt trying to go against what was said here, but I ran the 8mm spacers for a year, and two other Neons that I know of have had them just over two years with no problems, and I have had my wheels off the car plenty, so, I guess if you take care of them, you should be alright.

i donno about neons and spacers but my friend took his explorer ofroading with wheelspacers and limped back home on one lug bolt.

i have wheel spacers for the rears on my car, i am using a 1/4inch spacers to space my rear wheels away from the strut rod due to not having the srt strut rod when i did the rear disc conversion, and also due to from lowering it.
