For Trade: Restored '95 NYG ACR Coupe

Post by ACR MAN » Wed Feb 21, 2007 9:50 am

Would anyone be interested in trading a decent 2001-02 ACR for my restored '95 NYG ACR Coupe?

I define a decent '01-02 ACR as follows:

* under 100,000 miles
* no history of major crash damage / any minor damage properly repaired
* basically stock
* runs & drives well

My NYG ACR Coupe currently looks like this:

It is a Canadian specification car which I imported from Winnipeg, Manitoba in March of 2004. It has a valid Minnesota title and I have the importation letter from DaimlerChrysler. The odometer reading is 92,061 kilometers which equals approximately 57,000 miles. I had the little dents taken out and the body repainted in December 2005 (to the tune of $2200!!) but it has been sitting in my garage basically untouched since then. For more details on the history of this car, check out my project log over on neons.org:

I am an ASE Master & Advanced drivability certified technician, and I will soon be assembling the car as follows:

* stock 2.0L DOHC with NEW (not rebuilt) short block, reconditioned head with new valves/seals/springs, new water pump, new timing belt/tensioner, new gaskets/seals, new coolant hoses

* a correct '95 ACR transmission with 30,000 miles on it, disassembled & checked for proper synchro clearances, good condition, diff tabs installed

* PT clutch

* Borla direct-fit muffler

* stock ACR suspension, including low-mileage ACR Arvin struts, selected springs to corner-weight the car & stock swaybars

* stock disc/disc braking system with good pads & rotors

* stock '95 ACR (Highline) Quartz Gray interior including heater-only HVAC system with the correct control panel & dash trim

* yes, it has the correct '95 ACR Canadian instrument cluster, with 8K tach and 240 km/h primary / 160 mph secondary speedometer

* correct no-radio blockoff plate and antenna hole plug

* your choice of ONE set of the following wheels/tires:
-- '97 ACR silver bubble wheels with 195/60R14 Azenis 215 good tread
-- '97 ACR silver bubble wheels with 195/60R14 BFG T/A R1 full tread
-- Borbet 5-spoke 14" with 205/55R14 Kumho Victoracer full tread

Too bad my 02 acr is not stock, nearly... have replaced the camshaft with comp 400, had replaced the intake, exhaust, and some inserts for motor, rt 1st gen springs, 60mm lorenzo tb, mopar sts, and an srt4 spoiler

Besides, I owe 3800 for it - you would have to pay it off for me for a fair trade, as far as I am concerned, but DAMN tempting!!! Honestly, it want an ACR coupe :) But I want both the coupe and my 02...

$3800 + my car, fully assembled...for your car? What?? That doesn't sound too fair to me. If you want a $1500 ACR Coupe, this one is a possibility:

I wasn't trying to offend, I woldn't trade mine straight up for yours anyway, not that is isn't a nice car or not worth it, but I just wouldn't feel right about trading my car and still paying on it, and my wife would say no way - so, dont think I was trying to offend YOU, I was simply stating my predicament... also, it was a free bump for you. sOrry if I offended. :?

I'm thinking about it. It wouldn't be cheap, though, considering all the work and new stuff that will be on the car.

If I had a two-car garage... Bump for something I wish I could have.
