which sway bar combo is better?
I got a buddy that wants to sell me a pair of front/rear SRT sways for $60...but I heard that the "welfare" system is the best set-up for the money. So what I'm asking is, what set-up is better for the money? How much of a difference is the SRT than the "welfare"?

The welfare system as in PT convertible front, ACR rear? 2mm bigger if so. Depends on your goals.

Go with the welfare setup. The SRT setup is nice but the rear bar is tiny when you could get an R/T rear which is 2mm larger (17mm SRT - 19mm R/T). The SRT front is 24mm but you can step up to the PT GT bar which is 26mm. Personally, I'd go with the welfare setup since the SRT rear bar is tiny

Mainly for cornering. If you were to hit a speed up head on it'd be able the same stiffness as before but if you were to hit it at an angle where one wheel went over before the other then you'd start to feel it more.

The first thing you'll notice is the precision in turning by adding the rear bar. Stock, a 2gn without a rear sway is lazy ass hell. Even a small SRT bar in the back will wake that car up really fast.
Be prepared though. You need to really learn how to drive if you're going to corner hard in a car that can get tail happy. First instinct in a tail slide is to brake. All that does in a FWD is make it worse and put you in a ditch or harm's way even worse.
What I do on the track is dive into a corner a hair faster than the tires can handle with a little drag on the brakes but not much. This will typically (depending on conditions) bring the back out on me, at which point, I throttle just enough to keep the car close to neutral but still oversteering. You'll work your back tires harder, but save your fronts and you'll be faster.
But anyway, my point before rambling is that since you'll have a car that's capable of losing the tail end if you brake into a corner, be prepared to mash the gas to pull yourself out of the slide. Sure you'll move a little faster because of it, but it's better than hitting a guardrail.

but anyways where would one go about finding said welfare setup. as this looks quite interesting, and probably cheaper then hotchkis(how do you pronounce that).

What about an RT with the stock front sway bar and the Progress rear sway bar? Will that setup be okay?
